These species cannot be sexed by outward appearance.

FEEDING

COMMERCIAL FOODS: Avione, Elliott’s, Lori-dry and others are available.

DRY MIX: 1 cup each high protein baby cereal, rice flour and egg/biscuit mix. .5 cup glucose.

WET MIX: 1 litre hot water, .5 cup quick oats, .5 cup “wheat bix”, 1 cup high protein baby cereal, 4 dessertspoons raw sugar.

FRESH WATER: for drinking and especially bathing

REGULAR GREENS: such as endive, dandelion, seeding grasses, etc.

CUTTLEFISH.

VARIETY FOODS: Buds and flowers of gums, wattles, grevillias, roses, bottlebrushes.

FRESH FRUIT: apples, pears, grapes, watermelon, etc.

HOUSING

AVIARIES*: minimum height 90cm; 10000 sq.cm. first bird, add 5000sq.cm. per extra bird

CAGES*: minimum height 90cm; 5000 sq.cm. first bird, add 2500 sq.cm. per extra bird

MIXING: One pair to an aviary.
