FEEDING
DRY SEED MIXTURE: millets, plain canary plus small amounts of hulled oats
FRESH WATER: for drinking.
REGULAR GREENS: such as finely chopped milk thistle, endive, dandelion, seeding grasses, etc.
CUTTLEFISH, SHELLGRIT, CHARCOAL.
HOUSING
AVIARIES*: minimum height 60cm; 7200 sq.cm. first bird, add 3600sq.cm. per extra bird
CAGES*: minimum height 34cm; 1600 sq.cm. first bird, add 800 sq.cm. per extra bird
PLANTS: do not harm plants in the aviary. Require ground cover for privacy and protection. Beware of toxic plants
MIXING: Inoffensive to other birds. May squabble with other quail and ground birds. Hens can be aggressive.
